The Case and Place for RSS: Appeal for Consumers
- No registration required (currently)
- You can't get signed up for a feed you didn't ask for (currently)
- No complicated unsubscribe process
- Don't have to give up contact information (e.g. email address) to get the content (currently)
- You can keep up with a web site (typically an information-oriented web site) without having to contantly revisit it
What is the appeal of RSS for information consumers?
